There are three main types of lubricants:

Water-based – Versatile, safe for all toys and condoms, easy to clean.

Silicone-based – Long-lasting, great for water play, but not safe for silicone toys.

Oil-based – Thick and long-lasting but can degrade latex condoms.

It depends on the activity:

Vaginal sex: Water- or silicone-based lubes.

Anal sex: Silicone-based or thicker water-based lubes.

Oral sex: Flavored, water-based lubes.

While saliva can provide temporary slipperiness, it dries quickly and may introduce bacteria, making it a poor choice for long-term lubrication.
