Two Thumbs Up!

Finding restraints that are both secure and sustainable to wear can be a challenge. Police-type metal hand and leg cuffs lock solidly, but can bruise, particularly if the subject struggles or is on their back with their hands behind them. Leather cuffs offer a wide, pressure-dispersing hold, but most attach belt-buckle style and can be undone by a bratty bottom. These leather cuffs offer the best of both worlds: the comfort of wide bands, together with the option to lock them by securing your own padlocks through the metal staples (the cuffs have a series of slots, so that the leather itself functions as a hasp). If you don't have or want to use padlocks, you can slip the integral leather strips through the staples to secure the cuffs. These cuffs are a stiffer leather, and are not lined with either a softer inner leather or faux fur, so they did chafe a bit over the course of our play. In fairness, we should note that this was a multi-hour session that involved a lot of struggling and that the chafing wasn't raw or red, and was far less severe than metal cuffs or hemp rope would have caused. We liked the numerous slots for the staples, which let us size the cuffs precisely for a secure fit that didn't impede blood circulation. Overall, we give them two thumbs (or whatever appendage) up.
