First the button broke, a couple weeks in; whenever the toy was closed with a battery in it, it was on. Fine -- I only needed one speed anyway. A couple days later, after having it on for a while, I touched the metal band and found it painfully hot. Bizarre, but not that big a deal, as long as I held it carefully. Then yesterday I turned it on and within 45 seconds there was an awful chemical odor, like burning plastic. I had to open it and take out the battery to get it to stop, and the smell lingered. The whole thing was hot (not just warm, though the outside didn't burn me) except the thickest padded bits near the end. It was a great toy (first couple weeks), and then a good toy (broken button), and then an okay toy (burn-y metal ring -- WHY?), and then a dangerous toy (burning plastic fumes??). It broke down so quickly and seemingly unsafely that I can't in good conscience recommend it. I also have the Bcute Classic (Limited Edition Vibe Onyx Black) that I bought at the same time, and although it also has a metal ring that can heat up (again... why), at least the buttons still work and it never got so hot as to melt itself. I don't like the toy itself as much, but I have to say it's a much better product.
